Flag State Inspections & Investigations

We are appointed flag state inspectors for the Bahamas Maritime Authority and The Liberian Registry and regularly attend vessels on behalf of flag state authorities for the full range of surveys, from flagging in a new build through to special surveys. Several of our staff have extensive experience working within various flag states at a high level.

We also conduct casualty investigations on behalf of flag states, providing support to the maritime administration in meeting their obligations under the UNCLOS and SOLAS regulations and for the purposes of casualty reporting to the IMO.  When investigating incidents, we provide detailed analysis to establish causation, and can help with recommendations to avoid reoccurrence of the casualty.
