Giacomo Pison
Naval Architect
Giacomo is a Naval Architect with extensive experience in marine salvage, wreck removal and casualty investigations, having attended projects across Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America. He is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA).

His experience includes technical consultancy services to P&I Clubs, law firms, H&M insurers, shipowners, cargo owners and shipyards, acting as Client Representative, advising on proposals and methodologies, carrying out naval architecture calculations and statistical data analysis.
He has broad worldwide experience in marine casualty management, investigation, and expert witness work, including collision, allision, fire, motion, stability, and strength analysis calculations. He has been engaged by international salvage contractors to attend salvage operations as the team Naval Architect in environmentally sensitive areas.
He also has carried out feasibility and FEED studies, involving detailed technical, environmental, and commercial analysis.
Giacomo is also involved in Marine Warranty matters for major offshore renewable projects reviewing loadouts, heavy lifting plans, stability calculations and risk assessments. He has experience in conducting hydrodynamic analysis and modelling for wave energy converters and carried out research work for offshore wind and tidal energy.
